If you just take a walk through grocery store you’ll see all kinds of deceptive food labeling that prevents you from knowing its true nature. In every aisle you can see food that is supposed to be good for you but in reality is not. This is the worst kind of false advertising. Healthy foods to eat should be easier to find in the supermarket.
What’s really aggravating is how they will put food labeled as better than health food next to the healthy food. They do this in spite of the fact that they know their products contain harmful ingredients. They are shameless in their claims that bad food is actually beneficial to you. This really hurts if you are looking for some ways that you can shed weight quickly.
The way the marketing of food tricks people into making bad decisions is really awful. They think they are eating healthy but in reality they are not. Here’s a couple things that demonstrate what I’m talking about:
1. Products claiming to be healthier than peanut butter. These products are simply amazing. Why would anyone believe that something artificial can be better than something that is natural?
For starters, the organic option will have little more than peanuts and maybe salt. The mislabeled item (the so-called healthy alternative) has all kinds of dangerous chemical components. To make things worse, they take out the healthy fat just so it can be labeled as a low-fat product. This removes the best part of it that controls your appetite and the sugar level in your blood.
To make it even worse there is usually a couple syrups little sugary plus some cane juice and artificial starches added in. I guess they think you need even more carbs to spike your blood sugar.
Here we have something like peanut butter that is natural and they have turned it into something that is really bad for you. Still they are permitted to make the claim that their product is healthier than simple peanut butter. Don’t succumb to these ploys.
2. Egg-like products said to be a healthy alternative to eggs. This type of product is nothing more than egg whites with artificial colors and flavors as well as other garbage including additional synthetic vitamins.
This type of product has really harmed a good thing by taking out the yolks which are the best part for your nutrition. People who think that yolks are unhealthy lack proper knowledge. What you want to look for in eggs is that they have been organically raised cage free.
It seems like a lot of people don’t realize that the yolk is good for them because of the anti-oxidant qualities and natural vitamins it contains. Egg whites just don’t have the same nutritional value especially without the yolks that complements it.
The cholesterol in eggs is healthy non-harmful as some people think. What occurs is that your good cholesterol goes up. Also whole eggs provide fat that is healthy. All said and done you get better nutrition from whole eggs rather than just the egg whites. Claiming otherwise is just a lie.
3. Butter like products are superior to butter. This type of product is really just margarine and trans fats. This of course is the unhealthy kind of trans fats. The claim to be healthy is incorrect. Even butter that is of poor quality is better than any kind of margarine that you see at the store. Sure there’s a concern about pesticides and some other substances that can be found in butter. Because of this you should always choose an organic butter. Of course if you can find butter from a grass fed supply you’ll do even better. Because it’s organic, butter has conjugated linoleic acid; it can be very helpful if you add some of it to your vegetables so you can absorb more vitamins and minerals from them.
One of the best oils for cooking is butter because of its help these saturated fats. Other oils, the kind that have polyunsaturated fats, are really bad because of their volatile chemistry. Examples of this kind of oil are corn and safflower.
In closing, you need to be reminded that butter’s saturated fat content is not bad.
