I’m not sure what the symptoms of Listeria are for adults. Is it general flu-like symptoms or heavy nausea and vomiting? Aches? Rash? I have researched it and found articles about babies with listeria.
Recently there has been an outbreak of listeria blamed on cantaloupe that is covered with the bacterial. Apparently the listeria can get from the skin into the fruit as you are cutting and handling it.
Listeria symptoms may not show up for a few days to a few months later. That’s scary. I’m going to keep on searching for symptoms of Listeria, as I have not been feeling well, live in Missouri and ate some cantaloupe about ten days ago.
