Bikram Yoga: Not Only An Everyday Outstanding Routine But It Is Really A Lifestyle

Health Kamloops

In the past couple of years I’m sure you have all noticed that yoga has been the talk of the town. Many people has not just considered it a great workout but yoga is their lifestyle. There are still a lot of people who are hesitant to try out yoga even if has gained its popularity. Some of the reasons are that they are not flexible enough to try yoga, or they think it is just for the ladies (at least men think that yoga is not for men but for the ladies). There are so many misconceptions about yoga which I think should be clarified as to get people into the healthiest exercise ever created.

Bikram yoga can be performed by everybody. Anybody who has a body can perform yoga. With that you might say “yeah, anyone with a body but what about age, I’m too old for yoga.” This is again another misconception regarding yoga. You can be as young as seventy five and can still perform yoga. As early as 12 years old, yoga exercises/classes can be performed already. There’s also what we call baby yoga where the mother guides the baby thru the yoga movements.

Are there health risks involve in bikram yoga? When you do yoga, there are only health benefits. You get flexible, you get toned up, you get healthier in short. With yoga you also have to watch the food you eat so this makes you even healthier.

There are some of the standing postures in Bikram Yoga:

Pranayama Breathing. This is especially good for those who have asthma. Pranayama breathing helps you reach the maximum capacity of your lungs. You can easily see how your breathing changes with a couple of repetitions.

Half Moon Pose. This is a great way to rejuvenate your yoga workout. It increases the flexibility as you stretch your body both sides. Left to right and front to back as well.

Standing Head to Knee Pose. For starters, it can be just the knee and for the advanced practitioners of yoga can allow the heel of your foot point to the front then you can maximize stretching.

Standing Bow Pulling Pose. It is the complete opposite of the head to knee pose.

To maximize your health benefits in doing these exercises, you might want to consider a help from a yoga instructor.
